Vintage Report
The season started later than normal with delayed bud burst and precipitation continuing into late spring. Warmer temperatures arrived and our viticulture team performed careful vineyard management ensuring ideal conditions for the grapes. A reduction of yields, canopy thinning and excellent weather followed in August and September which helped grapes to ripen fully. Harvest began on September 26th and ended on November 12th followed by our Icewine harvest on January 18th in Naramata. Initial tastings have revealed gorgeous wines with delightful fruit profiles, lower sugars and balanced acidity.
Tasting Notes
Our 2011 Sauvignon Blanc is racy and lively! This refreshing white is full of sun-soaked, tropical fruit with a bit of grassiness. Dry, crisp and zippy on the palate.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs nicely with local cuisine; fresh seafood, smoked salmon, and creamy goat’s milk cheeses are ideal matches for the wine’s fresh tropical notes.
