Vintage Report
The season started later than normal with delayed bud burst and precipitation continuing into late spring. Warmer temperatures arrived and our viticulture team performed careful vineyard management ensuring ideal conditions for the grapes. A reduction of yields, canopy thinning and excellent weather followed in August and September which helped grapes to ripen fully. Harvest began on September 26th and ended on November 12th followed by our Icewine harvest on January 18th in Naramata. Initial tastings have revealed gorgeous wines with delightful fruit profiles, lower sugars and balanced acidity.
Tasting Notes
Our 2011 Pinot Noir features an abundance of bright strawberry and blackberry fruit notes with a delicate touch of cinnamon. The medium bodied wine is a perfect partner for most foods, and is equally fabulous on its own.
Food Pairing Notes
This fresh and lively Pinot Noir is ideally served with lighter savoury fare; seared rare tuna, skewered grilled vegetables dressed with balsamic vinegar and herbed roasted pork loin.
