The season started later than normal with delayed bud burst and precipitation continuing into late spring. Warmer temperatures arrived and our viticulture team performed careful vineyard management ensuring ideal conditions for the grapes. A reduction of yields, canopy thinning and excellent weather followed in August and September which helped grapes to ripen fully. Harvest began on September 26th and ended on November 12th followed by our Icewine harvest on January 18th in Naramata. Initial tastings have revealed gorgeous wines with delightful fruit profiles, lower sugars and balanced acidity.
Our Chardonnay is a treat for Chardonnay lovers! Luscious ripe apple and pear notes linger with a rich long finish. The wine is elegant and achieves amazing balance between fruit and oak.
