This is not your ordinary wine. This wine is meant to tempt your senses. To entice you to savour one more ever-lasting sip. Our winemaker was a bit mischievous when he created this unique blend, toiling away in the vineyards and then returning to the cellar late at night to care for the wine as it aged in oak barrels. Somedays, our winemaker is easily distracted and we love that about him. It’s that creative,
free spirit that doesn’t always adhere to the rules that we wanted for this uninhibited wine
blend. Attention to detail mixed with creativity, experience, and great tastebuds. A touch of
this, a smidge of that, tasting, re-tasting, and voilà, a devilishly delicious wine.
This blend explodes with juice in your mouth but still has that definite structure and complexity
that comes from distinctive wines from the Okanagan Valley. It will not disappoint. Red cherry,
pomegranate and violet are on the nose and continue with your first lush sip. A blend of
Merlot, Petit Verdot, Shiraz and Cabernet, Diabolica Red Wine bursts with red cherry and
pomegranate when you take your first lush sip, followed by flavours of black tea, boysenberry,
and ripe plums that culminate in a smooth finish. This wine is big, yet approachable,
and will tempt you into wanting more.

The 2013 vintage started with warmer than normal spring temperatures resulting in
early budbreak followed by a rainy June that slowed vine growth. July and August brought
above average temperatures which allowed grapes to mature along a normal ripening curve.
This warm weather was followed by heavy rainfall in September causing delays
in the harvest, but didn’t harm it’s quality. Overall the wines are showing excellent
fruit character and balance.

Of course, we’re thinking about Devil’s Food Cake as, dare we say it, a heavenly pairing.
Some other tantalizing treats are stone baked pizza smothered in tomato sauce, a grilled
steak with sautéed mushrooms, and certain spicy foods, like an arrabiata sauce with pasta or
meat rubs with a kick. To keep it simple, our winemaker suggests adding freshly ground
pepper on whatever you’re serving. And if you’re looking for something easy, appetizers like
assorted olives, baked kale chips, or marinated artichokes and peppers work great. Act like
our winemaker, don’t limit your choices. Be tempted, and try several.
